Linux installation

Linux installation with Desktop:

  1. Sign in at https://nuxbot.com/account/.
  2. Go to https://nuxbot.com/account/downloads/ and click the download button for Linux (nuxBot-VX-Linux).
  3. Wait for the ZIP file to install.
  4. Open the ZIP file and drag the contents to another folder.
  5. Right click in the folder and press “Open in Terminal”.
  6. In the terminal, type “chmod +x nuxBot” to give nuxBot permissions, so you can start nuxBot.
  7. Now enter “./nuxBot” in the terminal to start nuxBot.

After nuxBot has started you can go to http://localhost:5000. If you don’t run your nuxBot locally, the IP for your dashboard is in the nuxBot Console. There you will find your nuxBot dashboard and you will be asked to create a password, connect your license and connect your exchange. We recommend using a modern browser like Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave.

Linux installation without Desktop:

  1. Sign in at https://nuxbot.com/account/ on your current PC.
  2. Go to https://nuxbot.com/account/downloads/ and click the download button for Linux (nuxBot-VX-Linux).
  3. Wait for the ZIP file to install.
  4. Extract the ZIP and transfer the extracted data to your server using FTP software such as WinSCP (WinSCP is Windows only).
  5. Now on your server: Open your terminal and navigate to the folder where the extracted data is located. To do this, enter “cd path/to/folder”.
  6. Type “chmod +x nuxBot” to grant nuxBot permissions so that you can start nuxBot.

Tip: Since you only started nuxBot via the current terminal, nuxBot will only run as long as your terminal is open. We recommend using the “screen” package to keep your nuxBot running.

Now you are done. 🙂
